retraction

ur...it was pointed out to me (i was reminded) that i had recently signed a non-disclosure agreement forbidding my mentioning anywhere what i am currently involved in.
subsequently the diary entry from a couple of days ago has been 'ammended' and should you remember anything that is no longer there, could you kindly erase your memories.

erasing my short term memories is an automatic default for me: names, contracts, meetings scheduled, who i've just spoken to on the phone etc... i have NO recolection of what i've just done.
(makes diary writing difficult and/or very important).
sign of a mis-spent childhood (well 24-29 was a bit messy, at least).
as long as people realise my 'condition', it's workable: just don't trust me in this department.

was awake from 4am-5am in bed, over-excited about having found the house of our dreams.
decided to get up for good at 5am and answered some emails and watched the end of 'kiss kiss bang bang' (a crud film i had promised myself not to watch to the end).

spent the rest of the morning delerious.

drove into town for a meeting with an ad agency about a shoot, photographing a famous person for a famous clothing company, on my birthday next week (may 9th).
i hope this is vague enough.
it's not going to help my later memory of what i was doing is it?

bought 4 luxury hot cross buns at m&s and ate them all immediately.

tried to buy a golf r32 dsg, 3dr which was two doors short of ideal but really need one now.
it was sold an hour before i called.
i'm starting to feel like someone is trying to tell me something.

ps. the farm we've had our offer accepted on had been on the market since sept 2005 and TONS of people had viewed it, some had 2nd viewings but it was still there waiting for us to (re)find.
this is FATE innit.
we saw the house advertised 2 months ago and you might think we could have cut out the last two months of travelling around, stress etc...
but i think it was ready for us, when we were ready for it.

don't tell the perou-factory but i know that once we've moved i won't miss the wick or it.
i always thought i'd be devesated to go.
i was also worried that leaving the wick (an area, not of outstanding natural beauty...but an area of outstanding natural/man-made energy) that my photos would suffer...
but we had a drive through some of the seaside towns near the farm the other day and there is SO much more to photograph there and it's got a different but equally vibrant buzz to pick up on.

after the meeting in town, came back to do some shopping as old mother hubbard's cupboard was bare.
and tried to have an hour's disco nap.

my friends chris and shirley came over for dinner.
they'd caught a bus down from bedford but they're visiting from jo'burg (south africa).
chris has been our driver/fixer in jo'burg twice now.
i (un)imaginatively cooked a roast chicken dinner.

was giving chris and shirley a lift to golders green to catch a late bus back to bedford but missed it so drove them back all the way.
this, i felt, was good practice as it was the same miles away as the farm is from here: 66 miles.
on the way back i fantasied that i was driving back to the farm, not to hackney wick.

my sat nav (twat nav) managed to detour me along 20 miles of very bendy b roads.
last time i was driving like a c*** along bedford b roads i was racing a nissan 350z with neil chasing me.
doing the same in the perou-mobile, in the dark and very tired wasn't quite as enjoyable.

home for 12.40am (hence no diary post till today).
mrs.perou was up anyway.
for the second time, maximum had been up with night terrors.
i have missed both occassions.
apparently it's quite horrible to see/experience.
:(
