gourmet road trips
so, i've driven over a thousand miles in the last week, and i'm currently doing two shoots a day...which should continue till i head to NY towards the end of the month.
today i drove me and frances to wiltshire to photograph someone for something.
i drove the perou-mobile because the in-car entertainment of the golf isn't entertaining (yet): having paid more for a VW satnav and stereo than the top of the range alpine kit would be, i'm having it all removed again.
:(
had a short happy shoot and realising we were near my old assistant/friend mark (who lives in swindon) we decided to meet up for a lunch break at 'the vines' in norton.
it coincidentally happens to be the winner of the best pub restaurant in the whole of great britain (good pub guide 2006).
so we had a happy, tasty meal and i sampled some decent, local cider.
here's my lamb with red currant and garden rosemary jus and 'the vine's' famous potatoe dolphin-aise(?).
this driving round the country photographing folk armed with the 'good pub guide' is making the whole event much more entertaining.
it's hard to know what i enjoy more: good food or good sex.
sex probably pips it...but i do love eating.
i was talking out loud to my lunch today: 'come on hot stuff...i can see your pink...ooo: you're juicy'.
the old ladys on the table opposite looked concerned.
cancelled the afternoon shoot due to rain.
made it back to the factory in time to spend another 4 hrs in front of my computer, frantically retouching pictures that are backing up on us under the heavy heavy strain of it all.
i think soon, i might burn out.
not deliberately.
but i need a break for sure...even if it's just a few hours of nothing.
we've done 6 of the 20 shoots that we're in the middle of.
tomorrow additional lady labour is being employed to help me.
HA HAaaaaaaa....melinda's back for a day.
