helL A night 2

instead of breakfast (round lunchtime)
drove up into the hills to check a location with tony.

decided we should move day (night) 2 of the MM shoot and relocate.
yesterday we were shooting at manson's art gallery.

drove back to the gallery and packed up.

had lunch at a french bistro (at 5pm) at the grove off fairfax and third.
food was great.
but weird to be in a replica, 'orignal' (old looking) french bistro sited in a modern shopping mall.
if you squinted your eyes a little, it kinda looked real.

bought an ipod attachment at applestore that turns your ipod into a dictaphone.
so i can dictate my anecdotes about shoots for THE BOOK (which miranda's kindly offered to type up for me: BIG PROPS MIRANDA).
but it doesn't work.

full moon power

on set at 7pm

was unusually grateful to see the full moon which undoubtedly gave us moonbeam power enabling us to work through the night as LA shut down and the lights accross the valley flickered then died.

not being a vampire personally, i find shooting the nightshift (especially in exactly the wrong timezone) quite difficult.

moonlit ms.hood

i do photograph ms.hood a lot, i know.
but she goes where i go, so it's kind of handy (and she's quite photgenic)

shame she doesn't like being photographed (at all).

at the moment i don't think she even likes going where i go: being where i am.
this trip has been quite 'difficult' to say the least...

(to any aspiring assistants who think frances' job is a glamorous one should know that yesterday she had 5 hours sleep (after being up for 'the wrong' 24hrs: 12 off which were spent shooting and 7 in prep for shooting) no breakfast and worked from midday to 5am with a snatched lunch, no dinner and no breaks).


...as said, we finished at 5am.
victorious, and happy that there's not going to be a day/night 3 of this episode.

it's the superbowl in the states today.
i'm supposed to be going to a superbowl party to watch it with my friend bill and family.
as i'm aching and delerious, i don't know if i'll make it there.
got to go back to the applestore and change that gadget...before starting to retouch what we've shot here over the last couple of days.
