all play and no work makes z a happy boy
didn’t get to sleep till 3am despite being in bed by midnight.
it wasn’t because i was having so much fun: there was too much going on in my head, not my bed.
slept in till 9ish and went with mrs.perou and our sons to a soft play thing nearby.
maximum and z love it there.
i don’t think we had such places when I was their age.
proof that it wasn’t better in the old days.
perhaps.
maximum was trying to swim underwater (under coloured plastic balls).
back at the farm i returned to my makeshift office and stayed there almost the whole day (same as yesterday) ordering scans, retouching, ftp’ing, printing etc…
we currently have over 160 images we need to work on.
some of them are taking a couple of hours each.
oh dear…

freedom for my people
...i mean, peacock.
as i mentioned yesterday elsewhere, hamilton the peacock is free to roam (and get eaten by foxes).
these were his first steps on the outside.
the white indian running duck we have ('babe') has been bullying hamilton (who is at least three times her size) all day, and the timid fellow is now hiding in the woodshed.
this is technically NOT a good, safe perch for the night.
we were hoping he might have followed ruby the peahen up to the top of the barn (her usual perch).
perhaps this is further proof that she is a peahen minger as hamilton has declined any invitation to join her for the night.
can peacocks be gay?
maybe he prefers the company of other peacocks?
we went to leeds castle yesterday (in kent) to see a dragon puppet show.
they had a ton of peacocks kicking around the grounds inc. white peacocks.
next time we visit, i'll take a hesian sack with me.
