bless this house
many of the buildings have these blessings drawn on their doorsteps daily.
our driver was an hour late.
which made me grumpy.
(as i keep saying, i HATE tardiness: it's such as waste of life waiting for things that aren't on time)
checked out and spent the day shooting at the ashram.
Then got driven 3.5hrs to Chennai retouching pictures on a laptop in the back of a car being driven insansely towards oncoming traffic and swerving all over the road (the usual style here).
Checked into a shit airport hotel with doubly inept staff.
the internet in the first room i was in didn't work at all so go t bumped down to a single, smoking room with a bathroom that reeked of several old men's stale urine.
Spent 3.5hrs trying to sort out internet and ftp back pictures to england.
failed.
frustrated beyond belief.
With no internet no time to see any of the ‘outside’ worl (India) and due to have no sleep.
I would be looking forward to our return to some kind of civilisation (reliable technology and supermarkets)…but I’m only going to be in England long enough to drive from heathrow to the farm, send some pictures, swop cameras, swop clothes, kiss the family and drive back to Gatwick before flying to (not my favourite place and for the second time in a couple of weeks) Madrid.
The domestic Indian equivelent of MTV is brilliant!
