i was more than a little suprised, casually looking out of the window while on the phone to england, to notice the 6" of snow that had fallen in the night.
although it continued to snow most of the day, what was on the ground quickly turned to deep puddles of slush.
6 more meetings in manhattan, progress impaired by the weather...but not as bad as when snow hits london.
the snow clearing workforce was out in force.
buses had snow chains etc...
i look like 'the egde' in this...it's given me goaty too (which i don't have)
i was amused by going to the hippodrome.
i don't even know if that still exists in leicester square?
mrs.perou called to say our central heating's packed up at the farm.
on friday night...so no chance of an engineer till monday earliest.
i told her to get used to life without central heating: cost of oil in the future etc...
suggested she put on a jumper and lit the fire.
i've got another week of meetings next week.
after that, i won't be wanting to see anyone again, ever.
i'd like to be able to employ someone to impersonate me (well) and go and hawk my book round town, making friends.
in fact, for that matter, i'd like to pay someone to impersonate me and take the photos on my behalf too.
i could learn to play golf (i could have golf tournaments with the harry borden) and retire.
oh, i forgot...i HATE golf.
