find the toys
apologies for the late posting.bastard, incompetent BT yet again failed to supply working internet to the farm.
the perou-farm was offline for another 24hrs.
had lunch at one of our favourite pubs: the red lion in stodmarsh.
with mum-mum and dad-dad.
maximum enjoyed the puzzle book ali had made for him and after, i explained how to write in secret code and we wrote to each other in numbers only.

coming back from stodmarsh, we stopped at a local village summer fete.
smashing old plates is one of my favourite past-times stalls.
you don't win anything but you do get to vent some of your pent up aggression.
3 balls for 50p
i was suspicious of the money laundering coconut shy: 3 balls for £1
especially as z hit a coconut twice and it didn't fall off and maximum hit another coconut twice and that didn't fall off.
i'm useless at coconut shys
but after i had expressed my belief that it was a fix: that the coconuts were metal and the coconut holders had magnets in them, the guy must have turned those magents off because on my third ball, i won us a coconut, much to the delight of sons.

both boys did VERY well on the go carts.
(here they are just before the starting whistle)
they LOVED it.
little determined faces with gritted teeth, looking over their shoulders to make sure no-one was coming up from behind and undercutting everyone else on the corners.
now i've promised them both go carts to drive round farm and fields when they're a little older.
which is good because then i can justify getting myself one too: safety marshall: HA!
after the fete, did some work on the grass for the paddocks.
looking at topping it now, although it's still a bit patchy: the lack of rain has 'done us'.
however it IS raining as i write this...
