had a very happy day in and around farm.
managed to get to one of the two village fetes i was planning on.
and yes: they did have a cake stall and a coconut shy.
sons did not win a coconut.
after the fete, drove to broadstairs and bought two inflatable dinghies and two super soakers so sons can play pirates in the pool.
also bought mrs.perou a Wii active thing so she can play 'getting fit(ter) at home (?)
her idea NOT mine
had a bbq for lunch round the pool.
then managed to cut through a hose running through the middle of the gravel path round the outside of the pool...'weeding'.
after a long afternoon playing pirates and fixing the split hosepipe, got dressed up and went to the school village disco.
glowsticks at dusk.
quite a spectacular early evening was had.
we left before the end with both sons complaining about the volume of the music: youth of today.
had flashbacks to the village discos i used to go to in plumpton when i was a kidda.
me and my friends would sit looking bored most of the night until the dj played billy idol's 'rebel yell' and the cult's 'she sells sanctuary', the only two songs we'd dance to.
then somehow we'd return to out chairs and manage to have a girl each sitting on us to kiss, without tongues.
cinzano and lemonade was the poison of choice...or woodpecker sweet cider.

oh yes: this is SO now part my wardrobe.
very cheap cheap at tescos (where i get most my silverware)
i'm getting builders hands aren't i?
