wood louse
not to scale (irregardless of your screen size or resolution).
woke up to a wood louse walking past my nose.
there's lots at the perou factory: it having so much wood n' all.
i like wood lice: they don't hurt anyone: i don't mind picking them up and relocating them (for their own safety).
used to enjoy watching them curl up into a ball when threatened: what a defence mechanism.
...but i'm glad they're not actually this size.
today, we all drove to north essex, to see an old mill house built in 1400 AD.
not just for the fun of it, but with a view to maybe buying it.
it's been very carefully converted and still has much of the working mechanisms: the stream still runs through the bottom of the house.
it still has the wheels and cogs to grind and there are reincforced glass windows in the middle of each floor of the building so you can see from the top floor to the ground.
it's GORGEOUS!
surrounded by a farm and fields.
in fact the annexe is rented by the youngest member of the farmer's family.
me boys would be growing up on a farm.
it's got a mill pond, resident swans and a big empty field...we're just a bit concerned about the steep drops into water for kids etc...
i reckon they'd get farm and mill wise pretty fast.
mrs.perou worries they'd fall in and drown.
?
also wasn't planning on living north of london but east of it.
??
more sleepless nights of over-deliberation to follow.
stopped at karl from underworld's, family's house for tea and cake.
they live near(ish).
took an hour to drive back down the m11 to the perou factory.
in time for my sunday night shoot with 'my robot friend'...
