bank holiday boing

amazing how much fun can be had with these door stops.

this one's at my mum and dad's house.
it's over 30 yrs old and still entertains the family's children for hours on end.
today was z's turn.

got up early.
mrs.perou had recovered.
z not 100% but fortunately not puking everywhere.

decided to beat the bank holiday traffic and left the factory at 8.30am.
arrived at a suprised mum-mum and dad-dad's an hour later.

had a happy day.
maximum started his morning finding some more easter eggs the easter bunny had carelessly left behind in mum-mum and dad-dad's back garden.

then me and maximum went down the rec to play football together.
i was amazed at how all the village kids we saw were dressed like chavs.

after lunch, back at home, maximum accidentally murdered some tadpoles trying to top up the small garden pond with a couple of buckets of water.
it either flattened them or startled them to death.
i think it's hard to drown tadpoles...it's a shame though: they have a hard enough time turning into frogs anyway.
i reckon 60% were slaughtered by this random act of kindness.

later maximum returned to see how they were doing and said they weren't moving anymore.
i lied and told him they were obviously sleeping.

walked stratford round some of my old haunts and found an old out building i used to take pictures in, which had been broken into, vandalised and covered in bad graffiti.
times is changing: as is the village i grew up in, of course.
everything does, doesn't it.
