spent most of the day driving to, hanging out at and driving back from the mill we looked at last weekend.
spot the avian bird flu carriers.
this would be the view from maximum and z's bedrooms, a bathroom and our offices.
but it's in essex up the m11.
not where we were planning on living and the opposite side of london to our families.
but it only took and hour to drive there today.
or it's an hour from liverpool street to braintree by train: about 7 miles from the mill.
it IS calling us.
reckon we can make safe the mill pond and gardenise some of the paddocks.
it's next to a small farm (76 acres) that has 10 cows and 10 pigs.
we went and said hello to them: they seemed very friendly.
i want a goat.

they got spooky eyes.
more spooky than marilyn manson's.
thinking about getting a house boat at canary wharf too, for when i finish late and start early.
or in the guardian today there was an article on living in containers: obviously reg is way ahead of his time: very trendy.
but i think this 'new' style have windows, toilets and everything: i won't be needing to empty my portaloo in the storm drain in the street (like reg does).
i tried mr.kipling's 'easter edition' (spiced) mince pies today...avoid.
