9ft white (colourama)
another easy day with not much happnin...
started by photographing ace australian band 'the grates' at the perou factory in a collaboration kind of thing for 'flaunt'.
which was fun.
and my old mate alex came to do hair.
we started out working together...ur...oh, dear...11yrs ago.
her dog babs, and stratford get on real good.
despite babs barking (yapping) at stratford all the time.
i want a chiwawa(?): always have since that 'pet shop boys' song, 'i want a dog' (which i told them when i photographed them earlier this year).
next, secured a location for tomorrow's shoot.
then drove into mayfair to photograph (former vice president of the united states of america) al gore for some minutes.
he's done a very interesting film on global warming.
i was very keen to get him involved in the black smoke global warming project BUT it didn't happen.
something about not wanting to bless any particular ecological minded organisation with support over any other ecological organisation.
i DID ask about pizza sex, as that's been concerning me since 1994.
mr gore was a very pleasant (powerful) man and it's good to think that there have been/are people in his position of power that have been/are actively trying to do the right thing by us all and the planet.
after these two shoots, i was thirsty so stopped at SH for a meet up with my mate mel over some strongbow, corn fritters and spicy chipolatas in honey (yummy).
got home in time to have missed the first 20 minutes of sweden vs england.
i was sure sweden would win, except for one point when i thought i'd got it all wrong.
then they drew.
this is a picture of sara (from finland) who couldn't bear to leave the almost untouched £60 (quite heavy) white colourama behind after the al gore shoot.
and because i don't have a truck na more i couldn't take it myself.
so she carried it through london all night and then home to the far north.
or at least that was her intention: tomorrow we'll see if she made it...
