no name no gain
this was the view out of our bedroom window at 11.10pm last night.
i got steady hands: this was a 2 secs handhold.
full moonlight and a bit of street light from the dual carriageway in the background.
today, we did the 'no name' magazine shoot i've been planning for AGES.
oh! how i wish frances HAD gone to get the post off the postman dressed as she was this morning (when he came knocking): in a magician's assistant's outfit: green eye shadow, thick nhs glasses, a sparkly, pink, skimpy high cut, sequin no. with heels, (those fishnets) and a pony tail.
she was supposed to be looking a bit off but she was looking pretty good.
frances has good form.
and oh! how i wish we were a little further into the shoot when the 'country eye' policeman visited to say 'hi' today:
we hadn't quite finished tying the naked (male) protagonist of our shoot to the brightly coloured 'wheel of fortune' in the field (visable from the lane).
i don't quite know how i'd have explained it.
hackney wick was quite used to seeing me and my 'interesting' shoots in the street.
when we set fire to tom vek nobody batted an eyelid.
i'm not sure if this part of kent is ready for me though.
certainly got a few strange looks when we were shooting the same guy, dead in the street: death by bannana skin.
i don't think it'll take long to get 'known'.
maximum was standing behind me as i was shooting (nick, who was on the wheel) and he kept whispering in my ear, 'make him go upside down'
when i was directing nick on what expression to do, maximum was whispering 'make him do a bad face'.
it's amazing to me that maximum takes everything in his stride and nothing is unusual to him: he's often sat doing jigsaw puzzles in a studio, at the feet of an almost naked dita von teese or other model and today it was totally normal for him to find his dad and a crew photographing a man tied to a wheel, in a field.
it could go either way for him i think...but i think he'll most likely rebel against us by going to work in bank or something similar.
all today's pictures will eventually end up here.
it has been a very VERY difficult shoot to put together.
i couldn't have done it without james.
big props.
i'm off to sainsburys to buy steaks for a celebration meal which we'll have with potatoe dauphenaise and CIDER!
tomorrow i have 74 pictures to retouch/colour balance for reebok.
HA!
