drove into town and photographed the great manolo blahnik with benoit meleard at mr blahnik's shop just off the kings road (which has apparently remained unchanged for over 25yrs).
i had not met mr blahnik before and wasn't quite expecting the the big charachter aka flamboyant (gay) man that arrived straight off 15 hours on a plane.
he reminded me a little of luis (co-owner/publisher of flaunt magazine).
after the shoot he had a meeting or two and then he was getting back on another plane...
had a very fun, short shoot.
some of which i'll save for my memoirs.
joe (mr blahnik's publicist) was from malta but had a welsh accent.
and ben de lisi looked through the window of the shop while i was setting up the lights there so i hid.
i don't know if he saw me.
one of my assistants noted he's going bald(er).
before heading back to the kent, did some more clothes shopping and after some confusion on where to end up, ended up in wagamamas.
and ate bad gyoza...doh.
back at home, baked (cooking)apples from the orchard stuffed with brown sugar, raisins and cinnamon, all which exploded in the aga.
