creosote...

creosote...

...is not available to the 'public', but 'professionals' (or people who masquerade as professionals) can get it fairly easy...

today i went shopping in canterbury and i bought:
4 bags of wood chippings
1 bag of mixed corn
1 bag of oyster shell bits
a yard broom
a 5 gallon drum of creosote
masks, gloves and brushes
and an iron basket for the fireplace in the dining room.

i also got a new tyre for an old trailer.

i did not buy (but thought about buying) a £89 pair of very spendid wellies and a pair of dark green moleskin trousers.

times is changing...i am very clearly...changing.

ms.hood is ill...and looks it.

this is where we shot that girl semi-naked in the woods last week.
(just got it back: it was film innit).

mick and ginger came over and creosoted the chicken shed: gets rid of red mite: the evil vampire insects that drain your chickens at night.
mick refused to wear any of the protective clothing that i bought him.
and ginger, despite wearing goggles, a mask and gloves, managed to get creosote in his eyes, his mouth, all the way up both arms and gave up on the mask.

the smell of creosote is humming everywhere.
i need to do a bit more.
i will be wearing my rubbers.

have to be careful not to get creosote into the water table or i could kill our well for years...

mole's still doing well.
bastard.
i wonder if he likes creosote?

david and maria (big props) came round and took away all their garden furniture we've been borrowing since they moved.

tomorrow i leave early for paris to photograph that bloody annoying band again.
i hope this time they're a bit more awake and happy to participate...
