a rainy day wasted.
spent 5hrs driving (to and from london) 2hrs of which had the added bonus of torrential rain.
spent an hour detouring to give 'extremely bad james' his stuff and despite ringing the bell for 10 minutes almost continuously, nobody came to the door...even though i could hear people moving around and i was shouting 'hello' through the letterbox, standing in the rain.
then some extreme muppets failed to deliver my hired equipment to the place i was doing a lighting test for MMASM.
they finally delivered it 3.5hrs late which is an all time record.
i went atomic.
if it had been an actual shoot, i would have gone solar.
when it finally turned up. we found out the power in the place wasn't sorted and immediately blew a fuse after 3 flashes of our lights.
so cancelled the day.
in time to get stuck in friday night rush hour out of town.
I HATE WASTING TIME/LIFE: nothing annoys me more.
i am extremely aware of my finite time here: i am perpetually impatient.
it is my most obvious 'problem'.
i also HATE inept people that can't or won't do their jobs efficiently.
there is absolutely no excuse for crapness...
i also spent an hour in tescos shopping the forgotten weekly shop.
although half an hour of that was also spent on the phone to melinda (multi-tasking) so that made it slightly happier.
events of this week have left me tense and angry: it's going to take a lot to wind down.
on sunday i'm picking up an old rowing boat to put on the stream
perhaps that will help.
it'll be a gentle experience for sure: we don't have any oars...
