the office this morning
me and the hood by chris
me and frances rented boards and boots and met our instructor for the day: chris.
took a bus to corviglia and then cable cars/trains half way up the big mountain.
a double gorgeous sunny day with blue skys: no clouds like yesterday (when we were shooting of course).
i've never been very good at balance.
never mastered skate-boarding so i wasn't sure how easy i'd find it today.
had a GREAT time though.
had some really good fun.
can now go, turn and stop fairly easily on the easiest slope.
it would be great to have another day here but i can already feel my muscles tightening: i know i'm going to be in agony tomorrow.
bashed me knees pretty good too.
it doesn't look too steep here but it drops off fairly sharpish.
i am planning on bringing maximum and mrs.perou back here in march.
it was amazing seeing little mini-mes bombing down the slopes with their parents.
apparently children pick it up really easy and don't have to overthink it all like us 'grown-ups'.
i can't believe it's taken me this long to get to try this.
i love it.
