the great harry borden at lunch today.

and yes, i know we look a little alike.

spent the first part of the morning depressing myself by visiting some new-build 'live-work' units in dalston.
the going rate is £200 a sq ft for a leasehold shell with no charm, no garden and no parking.
it pains me that every developer in london disregards anything other than easy and swift return.
nobody can keep an old building and convert it: they have to squash everything and do generic, disgusting, characterless new-builds and divide them up into unworkable, small units.
more depressing than having to leave the factory is having to look at new builds with a view to finding the least offensive one and moving there.
and knowing that the factory with all it's history will be vanished.

i like new cars.
I hate new buildings: they have NO soul.
:(

it's a times like this i wish i lived in italy, france, spain or anywhere else, than crap-assed london.
as much as i love this city, the people who are charged with looking after it, aren't.
london's identity is being bull-dozed into something bland and 'nice'.
what's wrong with some grotty old bits with history.

grrr.

had lunch with frances, harry and isolde at the royal inn.
i wasn't in the best of moods.
as i was walking to the bar to order steak and chips some guy irritatingly stopped me and said laughing 'nice shades man'.
i didn't mean to, but i said 'thanks...' and then a little too loudly as i was turning round, '...wanker'.
he heard, but i didn't get beaten up, fortunately...i probably deserved a little grief for it though.

i collected maximum from nursery and stomped in, wearing a 3 piece black suit and shades (not my usual child collecting jeans and a t-shirt attire).
maximum's teacher said, 'oo: you look smart: where have you been?'
'court' i said, trying to keep a straight face as the other parents were looking concerned.

hamilton came and cut mrs.perou and maximum's hair.
i arrived late and insisted maximum had another 2" cut off the back.
now he looks like suzi quatro.

as we were pulling into the yard tonight, maximum said, 'i like boys'.
i said, 'what about girls?'.
he looked at me and said very specifically, 'no, i don't like girls, i like boys!'.
i wonder if he'll change his mind or maintain this preference...too early to tell perhaps.

tonight i am feeling very aggressive...i don't know why.
it's not natural for a pacifist like myself to want to fight...anyone/everyone.

anger management calling.
nitzer ebb is helping.
