BOOK

so yesterday ended much better than it started.
which was unexpected: i thought my mood couldn't recover.

but me and mrs.perou were ridiculously excited to head out together, leaving the sons with a lovely (old) lady baby-sitter.
we had a VERY romantic evening.
drove into herne bay and bought fish and chips, which we ate on the beach.

after our romantic dinner, we went to the local (tiny) cinema and watched the brilliant 'pans labyrinth'.
despite me loathing subtitled films (post film school: when i graduated i promised myself to only ever watch hollywood trash).

there were only two other elderly couples in the cinema.
it was GREAT!

this morning everyone slept in till 8am.
BONUS: a very rare occasion.

unfortunately during the night some c*** had forced open the small garage with my two ride on mowers in it.
but did not take the mowers.
i have a window from my room that looks out over the garage and a would have a very good line of sight for blowing holes in unwanted visitors...IF stratford had done something sensible like barked or i hadn't been sleeping so soundly.

have ordered telescopic bars to rise out of the ground to prevent unwanted mower removal and have temporarily moved both mowers.
grrr.
bloody nuisance people trying to take your shit: annoys me so bad.

tracked the footprints back through the orchard where the garage opener had come in.
thought about some bear traps in case he comes back that way...
discussed getting an aligator to just live loose in the orchard.

che (pictured: photo mrs.perou) and miranda have come down.
me and che are working OTB.
without my super office being ready, the dining room (which is undecorated and full of boxes) has been home to our efforts.
pictures and pages laid out on every surface including the yet-to-be-fitted bath.
i hadn't appreciated quite how much work was involved in putting a book together.
and i want a BIG book so there's BIG work to do.

i'm SO excited about the book though...

:)
