ah...

ah...

well ok then:
it actually seems (after some further investigating) that our chances of 'getting' the castle that we discovered yesterday, are way LESS likely than our reclaiming our rightful inheritance as the owners of that castle in northern france.
the castle in oxley (oxleas) woods is 'severndroog castle' (what a great name: very clockwork orange) built in 1784 and the focus of huge restoration efforts.
it's over before it began.
in finding this out, i also stumbled accross a website for a group (aka covern of witches and wizards?) called 'dragons' who said they were secretly casting spells all round the place to protect it...
maybe it wouldn't be the best place to take over and turn into yuppie flats anyway.

on the 'dragons' website they also highlighted a problem with english oak disease and offered these practical guidelines for it's members who want to actively get involved with the problem:

"Eco-magic Action
Dragon has been discussing this issue on our eco-magic e-mail list. Possible approaches for magical intervention in this potential crisis could be:
(a) To increase awareness of the issue in governmental circles & in general
(b) To direct 'bursts' of inspiration/creativity at those groups/individuals who are seeking to understand the origins of Phytophthora ramorum and direct to management/containment plans for threatened tree species.
c) Try to enter a dialogue with the fungus and/or the oak tree Spirit to find out the best way forward. You might use images of the Phytophthora ramorum to help you.
d) Magically build up the oaks' immune system
e) Call to a bacterial predator of the fungus."

i personally like the idea of entering into a dialogue with the fungus...

maybe i could call to a bacterial predator of the olympics?
i would like to point out here that i am in no way ridiculing the dragons and their eco-magic action.
i never want to be on the wrong side of magic...or dragons.

how good are tescos finest mince pies?

if the forum continues to lie dormant like a castle from the 18th century, i will abandon it.

within the next few weeks, that elusive 'big news' will be dropping here.
and
i wish i could tell you about some of the 'big projects' that i'm working on.
i had a call from a man (professor) in china today...'things' are moving in the right direction.

BTW. if you hadn't noticed, we're looking for a new perou place.
we've already had the perou-penthouse and the perou-factory.
the perou-castle looks unlikely at this point (it's gotta be in london).
if anyone sees or knows of a suitably run down, characterful, health hazard that no-one else would consider, please bear us in mind.
