konichiwa y.all

or maybe 'kon ban wa': i'm more than a little confused about the time of day/night.

left the tall hotel in makuhari with the good views of tokyo bay.
got a bus with underworld, chris cunningham, tiga et al back to tokyo central to catch the bullet train to osaka.
somebody should really have been documenting the journey but i was too tired for it to have been me.

was suprised to hear that dan bronks (mrs.perou's dear old school friend) was at the concert last night.
apparently a friend of his was found, out of his mind and gurning, in the lobby of chris cunningham's hotel (he was tyring to 'lick his forehead' in mr.cunningham's words) and the hotel staff kept ringing chris every (should-be-asleep) hour as the guy only knew chris' name and said he was his friend: could he help?

everyone on the two day festival is crazy tired but in good spirits.

checked into the osaka hyatt past the enzo ferrari, pimped out hummer, bling bling AMG merc etc... hotel car park looking like west coast custom's.
i love the way that in japan, they'll take a top of the range ferrari and then customise it: saw a white f430 spider here with oversized chrome rims and a bodykit.
this might sound appaling to purists but i like their irreverent attitude to an expensive car that people elsewhere wouldn't touch.

slept through the sound check (from 4.30pm till 9.30pm)
called in an amazing burger from room service.
i gave frances the night off: she looked like she'd been tumble-dried when we were getting ready to go out.

walked round to the venue.
fought off some girls that were looking to trade flavours for passes/tickets.
i'm wondering if my current inability to focus is my body's natural defence kicking in: too many pretty asain ladies here.
but mrs.perou cured me off my old 'problem'...i know i'm just tired.

the show sold out: 8000 sweaties.
underworld's set was great again: i've never heard a crowd roar/cheer so much: the osaka kids were really going for it, which is apparently usual here.

said 'see you in blighty' to underworld as they're flying from osaka and we're heading back to tokyo.
had a shower back at the hotel, then bed by 5am.
