travel day
slept till check-out at midday while mrs.p, frances and catherine hunted for stella mcCartney's wares at various H&M's down rue de rivoli.
woke to this view of overcast parisian rooftops.
for some reason rain in paris seems romantic unlike rain in england which feels wet...and miserable.
had lunch in a nice bistro round the corner from the hotel.
there's a lot about paris and france that i really love: good food and long lunches are part of it.
bought maximum a great fireman's outfit then caught the train back to london.
was tired and uncomfortable on the train and tried not to dwell on the fact that paris to london is 3.5hrs but london to japan (on saturday) is 13.5hrs.
drove back through rush hour london, dropping the ms.hoods at their place in stoke newington.
then back through hackney round hommerton to the factory where joy driving asses almost hit us as we were reversing into the yard.
they drove down the end of the street, did a u-turn and came back stopping outside the gates (to 'hard' stare at us) as they were closing.
i want to live in the countryside...or canada...or maybe new zealand?
i used to feel like i was part of london: now i think it's killing me.
